Preserve evidence of forced entry
Photograph the full door, lock side, frame, door edge and damaged hardware before cleanup, when safe. If police attend, record the occurrence number. Keep forced components unless hazardous and confirm with your insurer before disposal. BoardUp can provide job photos and an itemized invoice; the insurer decides coverage.

Can you help if my door will not close after a break-in?
Yes. We secure the entrance first and check why the door will not close, latch or lock. The issue can be the frame, strike area, lock, latch, hinges, closer or door slab.

What if the lock is broken?
